improv

I took my first improv class in March of 2000, and since then I've been engaged consistently as a student, coach and/or performer.

COACH
While at Yahoo! for about 2 years, I coached an improv class once per week. Before Yahoo!, I was teaching Beginning and Intermediate Improv through BATS Improv. I also experimented with Wake Up! With Improv, a 7:30am class designed to stimulate and awaken creativity for the day. Now and then I'm hired to teach and lead improv privately, as well. Through LifePlays and Theatreworks, I've had the opportunity to teach both kids and adults.

The play that improv teaches is for all of humanity and is a fantastic foundation for the arts, for life, and for love.

PERFORMER
Currently exploring duo improv with Chris Miller as Christopher Robert and improvised film.

Performed with boygirlboy, a three-person improv troupe, with the BATS Improv Sunday Players, guested with the BATS Company a couple of times, and for 2004 I was a Resident Company member of the long-form improv troupe, lilatheatre.
